I was wondering if anybody knew what the stock boss audio specs were in an 04escalade base model? I recently bought the truck and I'm thinking about upgrading, don't get me wrong they're amazing... but I need something that hits harder...

I know they make an Escalade, Escalade EXT, and an Escalade ESV. Whats a base model? I've never saw that emblem on any Escalade.
^ OK, Just kidding around......messing with a newbie a little.
I have a stock Bose system but my drivers door speaker started to vibrate a little so both front door speakers were changed along with the A-pillar tweeters with Alpines and they sounds great. The factory sub is enough for me.
I believe that the system has 350 watts rms. The speaker size are 6 1/2 in the doors and the pillar speakers are 2 inches I believe.
The woofer is only 6 1/2 inches.
I would disconnect the stock subwoofer, and add a larger aftermarket sub;and then see how it sounds from there since the bass is a bit weak in stock form which messes up the overall sound.
So my opinion would be to buy a better head-unit with a good EQ and upgrade the subwoofer.
The Bose speakers sound fairly good when paired with a cleaner sounding music source, but the stock woofer is just to small to really make clean sounding hard hitting bass that you can fill.
Hate to bring back this thread, but I want to upgrade all my speakers for the simple fact of louder music, and the same amount of bass or a bit more due to the fact the speakers become distorted past 25 on my aftermarket DNX-8120 Kenwood head-unit. I want to keep the stock amp but just add some speakers to be a bit louder because the stock speakers bass is much higher than the sound at 25. Any help as to what speakers I should upgrade to? Or what the stock speaker specs are (Other than size)?
You say past 25. How high does it go? It could be your DNX-8120 Kenwood head-unit is causing the distortion or it may be over-driving the stock amp. My stock radio and amp are loud enough for me without distortion.
25/35, sorry I forgot to mention that.. But it is likely that, but the EQ is advanced for me to be completely honest, I did watch a video and try to go back to it, but I'm going to put a 10" sub in and see if it helps.
When you wired it to the stock amp did us use the speaker-outs or the pre-outs from the Kenwood?
