Are there preamp outputs on the stock head unit? Am I right in saying that any aftermarket radio won't work with the steering wheel controls, will it?

I have the same question. I have 2K eldo with the non Bose head unit. I would like to know if there are Preamps out so I can add external AMP. Also would factory Speakers be able to handle 75 to 100 Watts in the shorterm with a higher output amp or would I need to replace both. Anyone know what the factory used for speakers on the non bose cars.

I wouldn't even try to use the factory speakers with 75 to 100w hitting them. I'm not saying they can't handle it, but since replacement speakers are so affordable nowadays and all over the internet, I would just pick up a new pair.
