About a month a go I had to change out the passenger front caliper...sticking badly, smell of brake fluid and my wheel was too hot to the touch. Odd, I thought only 50k miles on it....04 ESV. So today, coming home I get the smell of hot brake fluid, get home, drivers side wheel too hot to touch...another stuck caliper!!! Anyone else have this?

Never had to do calipers on my escalade, so I can only comment on other vehicles I have owned in the past.

I have learned over the years that when one goes in the pair, the other is not far behind....usually.
If I was doing the job myself, I would have changed both no matter what, one mess, new pads on both and good to go. Now you have to sort of do the whole thing again.

Sort of like headlights. Change one, and the other blows within weeks.
50k doesn't sound like enough miles for a caliper to go bad. :hmm:

Our weather is compounded by the heavy use of salt on all the roads in the winter...when I replaced the first caliper it was not that rusty, just frozen in place. ^^I had that same thought about doing the other side at the same time...what was I thinking!
