Steering Column

A friend of mine replaced the Key-lock in my HT4100 Eldorado which has telescopic steering column, he did not have the special tool and had one hell of a time putting it all back together. However, he did not mark the original location and my steering wheel is 30 degree off as a result one of the turn signal does not reset.

Do you need the special tool in order to reset the steering wheel?

Thanks

No, any steering wheel puller should work. Reinstall the wheel, leave the nut a little loose, drive the car to verify exactly centered then tighten nut. If off center, you wont need the puller to remove wheel to re index.
Does anyone know the special tool for Power steering with tilt and telescope steering wheel that is required when putting the steering column back if taken apart eg.: when you change the ignition lock.

Thanks
