Hi all, just picked up an original paint Deville with 30K miles and just got it home and I just realized I can move the steering wheel up and down by an inch. never noticed it during the test drive. It even moves the gear selector indicator in the dash so the whole thing is loose under the dash. Suggestions? Big job? Known problem?

if the entire steering COLUMN is loose -
there are two large bolts under the dash - pretty easy to get to -

if the steering WHEEL is loose from the column -
you need to pull the steering wheel to get to the bolts in the tilt mechanism -
