Why would my 97 N* stay in open loop when idling? Scanner says one bank
is lean and indicates a misfire, as high as -24 to -26 fuel trim on one cylinder (not all read the same), at higher rpms it is still lean, but much less, -4 to -8 and an intermitant misfire. I really need help, any ideas? Thanks.

I am not sure if the FPR will cause this but it is an easy check if you haven't done so already.

Check your o2 sensor operations....sounds like you have a lazy one.

Thanks, FPR checked and I put in 2 new Delco O2 sensors, didn't do the trick, so I'm thinking O2 ground circuit, does this make sense?

How are your plugs and wires? Had the fuel rail recall work done recently? Did the FPR hold a vacuum?
