When this split occurs, the remaining discussions on the SRX will not be worth reading. Too few subscribers to make it interesting.

Maybe I am getting this forum mixed up with the GMC Acadia forum where all years/generations are still in one forum. I much prefer that approach. When you split up the forum by model then you loose too many people who have experience that they can share. That will make both forums have fewer participants and therefore be of less value and interest. Particularly since this forum has had far less participation than the Acadia forum. This forum cannot afford to lose any participants. As it is I only check it every two or three days.I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. The SRX and XT5 have always had separate forums - 2 forums for the 2 generations of SRX, and 1 forum for the 1st gen XT5. Thus, the discussions have always been separate, and I don't imagine there was much "cross pollination" between the forums. If you're concerned about a split, well, that split already happened over 3 months ago when the forum was transitioned to this Xenforo forum software.
Well, we're not moving those forums because they don't exist.(It's 2003-2007, 2008-2013, and 2014+.) But seriously, as of January 1st, the ATS, CTS, and XTS forums will all be moved to the Past Cadillac Vehicles Discussion section, because 2019 is the last production year for those models.
For as long as I've been on this forum, sub-forums dedicated to each generation of a given model name have been grouped together in a single parent forum. As long as that vehicle model remains in production, the parent forum remains in the Current Cadillac Vehicles Discussion section, thus the sub-forums for previous generations (no longer in production) remained in the Current Vehicles section. It's less confusing than having the same model name listed in both the Current Vehicles section and the Past Vehicles section. Going forward to 2020 and beyond, if/when there are new generations of the XT4/5/6 and CT4/5/6, new sub-forums will be created for those 2nd generation vehicles, and the 1st and 2nd generation sub-forums will be together in the Current Vehicles section.
