Looks like SQBR6 is available for MY24 Silverado EV owners now via the dealer, so I suspect it should be available to install for the Lyriq now too if someone wants to go in and check for VWP. They now have access to "Pass time while parked" and other enhancements.

@ElectricAvenue and @hightech-guy - my thoughts EXACTLY. And don't forget about the one that irritates me the most - no Surround Vision Recorder. Literally on my Window Sticker. Love the Lyriq, this is my 7th Cadillac - but the way they are treating us early adopters after all we've been through is unacceptable.

And the funny thing is, I posted that last night - and for the first time since, what over a year ago? I'm now getting the message about an OTA update being available. Last had VWP done in Feb. Will wait until this evening when I get home to attempt the update.

My B2B warranty expires in about 5000 miles. Software (while lacking) has been overall very stable. Think it's worth the trouble of getting another round of dealer updates done before the warranty expires?

I had written a whole bunch of stuff about SVR. Deleted it. It's like spitting into the wind right now.

Regarding updates: Go for it. I don't know what's currently offered there yet, but at the same time it seems something is happening in GMs neck of the woods out of seemingly nowhere.

I'm glad the vehicle has android auto because the one that came with the car is getting old. For example the map in the car does not show traffic lights, it seems to lack a lot of things vs the map in my phone. I'm still on SQBR4 24' even after having all the latest update. The android automative that came with the car is just getting so old I don't bother using it anymore. I wonder the other vehicles with no android auto/car play will fare after a couple of years when GM stops updating it.

Android Automotive does show traffic lights (and stop signs) along a planned route, but not just when displaying a map. Is that what you're referring to?

Unix time is currently defined as the number of non-leap seconds which have passed since 00:00:00 UTC on Thursday, 1 January 1970, which is referred to as the Unix epoch.

I was working for the Department of Defense at the time. We considered it such a non-event for my command that we had a very small group of people on call, but I spent it on The Mall in Washington DC ringing in the new year with the big concert they were doing in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Was quite a show.

However, I lost 2+ years of my life prior to that, overseeing a TON of software and hardware upgrades as well as non-stop integration testing. So yeah, the night was nothing... but the 2 years of prep... that was a LOT of work.

... which is why the night was nothing. My company had the same experience. I did have one admin watching the servers in the data center and received the "everything is good" page at 12:03am while I at Y2K New Year's Eve party.
