Does anyone know of some reputable/reliable speed shops in North New Jersey where they can work on my 2004 3.6L CTS.

Right now I'm looking to install the Volant Air Intake System. I assume I can do it myself but I'm kinda lazy and really don't feel like doing it. I dont want them scratching my car or installing it incorrectly.

By the way how hard/easy is it to install myself?

All replies are greatly appreaciated.

Thank You,
DTYRUS

It will take you about a 1/2 hr t 45 minutes to install. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest, I'd give it a 3 at the most. I don't know of any shops in North Jersey but there are a couple in around the shore area. There is one of Freehold that I know of.

The volant is one of the easiest DIY upgrades one can do. 3 bolts hold the old airbox in place, then you loosen the band clamp on the intake tube. The whole thing lifts straight out. Swap the MAF (two bolts), clamp the filter on, screw down the lid, and the Volant simply sits in place with no bolts. Reinsert the MAF into the intake tube and tighten the band clamp and you're done. It takes all of 20-30 mins, with no risk of scratching any paint. Very easy.
