Just found out that my deville will only let me go 110 mph before the fuel gets shut off by the computer. Is there any easy way around it?

the short answer is NO -
the speed limiter was originally set at the factory
according to the speed rating of the tires originally installed on the car -

to change that setting - it takes the special TECHII scan tool -
and due to the liability factor - I doubt you will find anyone willing to change it -

I have a techll on my hands I'm just not familiar with how to use it exactly. If someone gave me step by step instruction I could remove the speed limiter.

Will ONLY go to 110? The speed limiter is there for your safety, everyone elses safety and to protect the car itself since it wasn't designed to go that fast.

:yeah:

Some of these cars have a W speed rating, it all depends on what tires the car was ordered with. NO differences in the car at all, ONLY the PCM programming, and original equipment tires.

110mph and you want to go faster than that ? Can I ask ..... 'Where is the fire ?'

Some people just go out of their way to get into that wooden box before their time !

No great hurry, just was more out of curiosity as to what the car could do and what options for increasing it. Probably will never do it again :histeric:
