Spectre does alot of OEM work . . . they may have designed it for GM!
I think the GM one comes with "upgraded" ballasts to offset the added weight . . . so you may end up needing to get those if you buy from spectre (may still be cheaper depending on how good of a deal you can find).

I have the specter one and Personally I like them both. I the specter one bowes out and the gm is a little more sleek.

I like both of them better from certain angles but i went with specter because its super easy to install and a little taller /wider /beefier

Don't get me wrong though i love both

I went with the Specter also, because the installation was so much easier than the GM model.

The Specter needs 2 small holes to be drilled, at the edges of the trunk lid (which is almost single thickness IIRC); the GM model has something like 6 holes needed, IIRC (and 2 of those have to be reamed out in the inner lining of the trunk lid to accommodate a large socket to tighten the spoiler). Huge difference.

I ordered mine from The Spoiler Store on eBay and it is perfect. You have to request that it be painted and it costs an extra $40-$50. I believe I paid $140 shipped for mine, and install was about 1 hour. It is true you have to drill more holes (maybe 4), but it isn't going anywhere when you are done.

Just provide them your paint code when you order.

Hey dannboss do you have any pics of how it looks up close? how sturdy is this unit compared to the OEM piece if you ever had a chance to compare them.

This is the only picture I have of it. It isn't the best photo, but you can see how it sits. In all honesty, it looks just like the picture above. I am not sure what is different between the two, but the guys at The Spoiler Store manufacture and paint spoilers for Cadillac as OEM replacements. Dealerships order them from these guys to put on cars for sale. So I don't know why they are so cheap, but construction quality was outstanding, the paint matched perfectly, and I can open and close the trunk while holding onto the spoiler. So it is on there and not going anywhere. I have been up to 145 mph with no vibration either.
