I have only managed to find 1 company that is offering an aftermarket intercooler right now. As the boost increases and summer approaches, a more efficient intercooler is a must.

Any of you guys out there in the R&D phases of this component? W4M? Hennessy? D3? (who has been surprisingly quiet thus far and I'm hoping you guys are wrenching away out on the west coast and keeping things under wraps with a boat load of stuff coming out).

And if you have them, I'd like dimensions, pics, and specs as well as price.

I was not aware of ANYONE making an aftermarket intercooler. I know Hennessy has a larger heat exchanger for the liquid that runs through the intercooler, but not an actual intercooler core. I would be surprised if anyone makes one, epically this early on......

Intercooler core would be a waste to change that design. The improvement would be to let it flow alot better on the top under the lid.

As for the heat exchanger, i have serveral large options im working on. Including remote ice box.

so in my plans of an aftermarket cf hood raise an inch or 1.5" by the back, raised lid, larger intercooler, ported internals, and larger heat exchanger for 15+lbs of boost... the larger intercooler in there would be wasted? the cooler that intake air is... the more ponies. the bigger the intercooler the more surface area to increase blower efficiency.

ps Jesse i've read your fuel issues and will be eager to see some solutions.

Where are you seeing these hood options? i've thought of a nice aftermarket one as well.

i've designed them for some of my past cars and had them fabricated at a custom shop. they obviously weren't cheap, but not "too" ridiculous either. i was after total quality. i've been toying with a few options already, keeping the same stock lines but a little more of a lift in the center and towards the back to clear what i'm after. i might do a couple of options with some subtle venting for airflow and without.

You guys do realize that the factory hood has a "hollow" imitation cowl. All you would have to do is pull off the padding under the hood, cut out a portion from the bottom and than cut out the backing of the cowl that faces the windshield. Obviously alot of people wouldnt want to hack into the oem hood but it can be done. You could even cut out a direct shape of the blower top right above the blower. For starters you can drive around w/out the huge plastic V cover on the engine
