Since the topic of CarPlay was brought up again in a couple of threads, I note that iOS 26 has updated the look and added widgets. Definitely looks better on the screen and enhances functionality.

I use CarPlay on rental cars and on my 2020 C8. Don't use it on the Lyriq anymore. I just use the built in Google Maps. I have the native Waze app installed, but don't even use that anymore.
