so only the driver front speaker, center channel and sub is working. all other speakers are not working. and yes i checked the balance, fade and surround settings.

i believe the previous owner had an aftermarket stereo because when i bought the car the driver front speakers where cut (next to the fuse panel). i spliced it back together and that speaker works. i checked the passenger front and it wasn't cut, but it doesn't work.

i wanted to get some thoughts on what the problem could be before i start ripping everything out.

Start ripping everything out bc your car was messed with and you wont feel right unless you know whats up, sorry to hear that also if you can do it, do it. I can afford to hire any stereo shop I want but I wont let anyone touch my car or home unless they have to but I watch them like a hawk.

yeah i planned on ripping everything out anyways because a compustar alarm and pioneer avic-z150bh is going in this month. i just wanted to get some ideas to narrow down what the issues could be.

and i don't let shops do anything. i had a few bad experiences. now i only do installs myself.
