what is the proper way to remove the spark wires plastic protective cover on the front valve cover, without breaking it? I have a 4.5L '89 eldorado. the cover appears to be the same as all the other 4.xL engines...

NOBODY knows sthe trick top removing this thing without cracking it?

They can be removed. It's been awhile, but I thimk they are held on by cast in retainers on the rocker cover. You lift it up towards the top of the cover. You can then open it up and remove the wires.

you sure? sure doesnt feel like it..

If I remember right, there are little plastic tabs that lock the top piece on. Just carefully pry those up enough so the top comes off. From there you should be able to see how the bottom piece is held on, or just take the wires out from there.
