Spark plug advice?

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations regarding spark plugs. I have read that dual platinum is the way to go, but I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs and whether that would be a type to consider as well. They make an application for some late model Cadillacs, but I don't know yet if they have for 4.5 engined Allante's. Thanks to all.

The Delco platinum plugs used in 1991 and 1992 Allante's would work fine. That's what we use. 4 of the originals in my '91 have 171k on them. I replaced the (easy) front 4 about 6 years ago at about 100k. One of these years I'll get to the the rears, when I replace the original spark plug wires. And, whatever plugs you use, if they are not a coated plug make sure you coat the outside of the plug with a suitable release agent so the boot will not adhere to the plug.
the dual platinum plugs for the 4.9 engines work just great.
got them on my own '88.

41-902 AC Delco to be exact.

use di-electric grease on the boots tot he plugs and distributor
and she will become near waterproof and avoid the adhesion that
allantesource eludes too.

lol
