:horse: Does anyone have any idea if GM might ever come up with a six lug spare steel wheel, you know, the kind that's super narrow for fitting into the trunk? OR, is there any place out there that might have or make such a thing for a big group buy?

I'm not comfortable running without a spare, and I hate the idea of having a big fat wheel bulging up my trunk floor. Sometimes I actually consider going back to the runcraps. (briefly) :thepan:

I dunno if this would help, but with a little work, you can fit a 17" tire/wheel combo in the spare wheel well. Unless the V is different then the CTS. It would look alot better then a black steel heavy ass rim. And it's not like you'd be keeping it on long, anyhow.

Thanks, but the Brembos on the V are so huge, you can't fit anything smaller than 18" over them. :helpless:

There was a thread a few weeks (4 or 5 maybe more) back that had some options for this and dreamin posted some pics of his trunk with a fulll size (I believe) tire fitting quite well. I purchased the items listed there and intend to do likewise when I install my new Avons for the upcoming winter months. Sorry, I'm too lazy laying here in bed with my wireless laptop at the moment, or I'd look for it for you.

i yanked that entire plastic crap in the back, and i can fit a 245/35/20 95w perfectly in mine.. not only did do this for use of having a spare, but since that extra weight it has helped me alot as far as wheelhop issues... of course the 20'sall around did help as well.. but that extra weight in back really help me hook up very quickly off the line.

later blitzer
