Hey i got a 2003 cts, no xm radio and bose system. I want to just add some bass to it and keep the bose, i wanna just change the amp and throw a 12" sub in, has anyone done this? any opinions? also on what kind of amp and sub would be good i don't need it to be super loud but just enough :D:D:D

Just yesterday i installed an alpine v12 amp (about 150watt rms) and a 12" mtx sub. It sounds great! It is pretty loud inside the car.

I bought the amp on craigslist for $25 and the sub w/box for $45 on craigslist.
