Have a 1997 deville when I start the car it sounds like a bearing is racking around near the water pump,any ideas of the correct part I need o replace I have fixed water pump and idler arm pulley tensioner and pulley

The WP & tensioner pulley are recently replaced? :hmm: There is nothing else in that area to make that kind of noise.
Where did you get them from?

Well yes I replaced the water pump brand new got it online ac delco, and the accessory belt tensioner was just the piece that has thereby belt on opposite side of power steering, actually I am so sorry I meant bearing sounds loose on power steering pump side im so sorry

Ahh, in that case, maybe it's the P/S pump. Have you checked the fluid level.

Yeah, that ^^^^^^^ - and in a 1997, it might be the serpentine belt tensioner pulley or an idler pulley - or the A/C clutch center bearing.

Yes cuz the power steering is brand new I figured it was the tensioner bearing or idler arm but wanted to see what u thought before I go replacing all, thanks so the idler arm itself or the pulley I have a feeling it's rhat
