Who's in for a meet this Saturday?

Where: Crystal Cove Promenade, 8086 Pacific Coast Hwy, Newport Beach

What: Car show. Be part of it. Exotics, MBs, BMRs, Vettes, and... V's!

When: 6:45 AM (you can show up later but your car won't be part of the main attraction, and by 9:00 AM it's all over)

Directions: #9 on the map below. Take PCH south, past MacArthur maybe 5 miles. The show is in the Trader Joe's parking lot on the left (that would be the inland side of PCH) before you get to Laguna. You will see a bunch of expensive cars parked in traffic lanes on PCH waiting to pull into the lot. Another, maybe safer way in is to wait in line on Crystal Heights Drive.

Afterwards: We're talking about going someplace to eat. I vote for Hooters, but that may be too uppity high-class refined for a bunch of V boys!

I've been following the thread but can't make it this Saturday - the V is going up on a lift (a neighbor's) for the UUC and rotors etc. Hopefully there will be another meet before the end of the year. Somebody said something about Calabases (which for us North Los Angeles County guys would be great)? Have fun!

Socal V's, Do you Do the Donut Shop?

So far I have only seen one V at the Donut Shop on Magnolia and Adams in Huntington Beach (6a-9a) where hot rods have been gathering for more than 35 years every Saturday morning. I try to make it once a month. Usually over 150 cars there each week.

Anybody with a V up for that?

That was probably me, I've taken the V there several times. I haven't seen another one there.
