After letting the rear end leak for months, I finally broke my golden rule of not wrenching on my daily driver, and I decided to replace the seals myself. I pulled off one axle tonight. Taking my time it was about 1.5 hours. Here's a sneak preview:

Over the next few days I'll post up a complete step-by-step tutorial, based on the exact steps from the GM service manual. I took about 30 pictures tonight, and I'll probably have about the same number for re-assembly.

Stay tuned. :D

Sorry guys, I've been crazy-busy over the past few weeks. I'm in Europe on a business trip, but I'll be back during the last week of May and I'll put together a full write-up.

Does anybody know the size of the spindle nuts for the cts?

The nut measures 35.3, so I bought a 36mm socket and it seems a little loose.

They don't readily sell 35mm, so I am at a loss.

Any help would be appreciated.
