I still have no idea. I'm curious.. What was that all about? Nobody I know cares to know - so there's no other way of me finding out besides asking... So?

It means "everyone put on a huge, spongy cowboy hat and look like an idiot." ;)

Seriously though, it's a southern term. Meaning if you fall off a horse you get back on it. Like in the rodeo, when a guy falls off his horse, someone will yell "Cowboy Up!" to root for him to get back on the horse...

It applies to the sox this year because they came from behind or back from a string of bad losses so many times.

At least that's what the local radio stations said. :rolleyes:

WEll that is intersting to know. I guess you have to believe in something to get your team to win. It's ashame they don't have a monkey. I think monkeys up sounds better

Living in the MidWest, I see that Cowboy Up crap on pickup trucks all over the place. The way it was explained to me, it means "Stop being a puss.".
