Hello all, ok here's the deal, I just got a 93 Eldorado with a bunch of issues. I have the manual which I've read and learned a few things, but can't really tell where to start. Here's what I know is wrong with it, needs another transmission, needs a radio(aftermarket was stolen), and the passenger side key lock is missing. Ive been reading the forums here looking for some of the questions I have to be answered with not a lot of luck so here goes:
1. How do I know if I have the bose setup.
2. Is it better to get a new, used, or rebuilt transmission.
3. Anyone here in chicago know a good mechanic that wont charge an arm and a leg for a full diagnostic and replace the transmission amongst other things that will come eventually.
Thats all I'll ask for now , oh 1 more thing does anyone have pics of an original 93 Eldorado I'd like to see what else might be missing. Thanks in advance.
