I had a 2006 STS-V a few years ago but sold it now I have another one. The car drives fine and shifts great even when hammered but I notice that when I slow down to stop the 2nd to 1st change feels a little hard like a slight bump but only slowing down? Is that normal and I just forgot? My previous car was a 2005 Audi A8 and that car shifts like butter at all speeds? Btw should I get the fluid changed and if so is the a specific fluid for it?

I had Chryslers in the past that must have a specific tranny fluid or it was a mess. Thanks

This is exactly what started happening to me towards the end of last year (before putting my car in storage). Hopefully it's a matter of an oil change.

Dumb question because it isn't happening in all gears, but could it be the diff mounts going bad? I know they make aftermarket urethane ones because the rubber ones wear out, and the rough downshift to 1st could be because they are just starting to fail, as the rate of deceleration (and acceleration, for that matter) are greatest in 1st gear.

So is there an existing HPtuners tune for the transmission available from someone/somewhere? I have this issue as well, and if I take it to the dealership I'm convinced they're going to try to replace the transmission or something ridiculous. I'd prefer to take it to a trusted speed shop and have them load the tune.
