I read that the parking lights should be white but can be an amber color. I was curious if any other colors are legal, and if black or dark shaded parking light covers are legal. Or well if id get pulled over for em? Id like to go with clear and white ones if its illegal, but id like to use these black ones with either white lights or some other colors. Thanks

Technically, the smoke lenses are going to be illegal pretty much everywhere. But, if you have white or amber light shining through them, I'm sure you won't get into any trouble. I've been running my smoke lenses for over a year now and have never had any troubles at all.

Well in this post im talking about the black or yellowish side marker that is also a parking light i believe. I was reading about tail lights and tinting and i found some very light tint which i dont think will get me pulled over. But i was reading a lot about it.

1BADGMC have u gotten pulled over yet with the current setup that you have for all your lights. If so have you been ticketed for anything other than your illegal action?

Thanks

i think i see what you are asking about now...the sidemarkers on your car...once again every state is different, you would have to check in your own state to see what is and isnt legel...i have personally changed mine to a clear lens with a yellow/amber bulb. with the bulb that color, it is legal in the state of TEXAS...

I've never been stopped for anything in this car. Being a black car, you really don't notice the smoked lenses since they just blend in. The light shining through the lenses is all the right color too, so nothing to draw attention that way either. I've been in front of the car with my wife driving it and even from a pretty good distance, the turn signals are plenty bright and visible.

I've wanted to tint my tails a bit, but I am a bit afraid of the law with them, so I probably never will. Maybe my reverse lights...someday.

Right now I'm too busy trying to figure out what I want to do to black out the chrome strip on my hood. I don't know if I want to paint it or just cover it in some black vinyl. My painted grille should be done next week. :bouncy:

I think paint would be the better option. But let me know how it turns out always love reading up on cool things ppl have done to their cts's or any of the cadillacs i like.

You know u get vinyl or like sticker tint right. Thats what i bought for my tail lights, in case i get pulled over for em and need to take em out i can do it myself with out any extra cost of course. As opposed to tinting the thing and then having to deal with removing the tint.
If you want ill let you know how they turn out.

I'm considering vinyl just in case I decide to go back someday for any reason. All I would have to do is pull it off.

I have some 5% static cling window tint left over from tinting my bedroom windows in my house. I was actually trying to do it with that stuff last night to see if it would work, but it wasn't cooperating with me so I just gave up.

Yeah. I didn't think it would work, but it was just laying around so I figured I'd give it a go. It didn't cost me anything but a few minutes of my day, so no loss.

Vinyl is tough around complex shapes. My headlight eyelids are vinyl and I ended up with a couple of small creases in the driver's side.

I put my vynal eyelids on, no creases, did my fogs, drl's and the trunk bezle, the bezle was the hardest to get it around all the inside edges but with a hairdryer and a little effort it turned out good.
My reverse lights are covered , its the 03, and I'm in ont., no issues, but then again the cops gotta catch you with the car in reverse to actually notice anything.

Nope, u just need a spray bottle with soap and water, something to push the water out credit card works or a small squegee, and a blow dryer. Start laying it on, heat it up and just move and strech the vynal and slowly work the water out. Just do a search on youtube on vynal stickers install, there must be a bunch of "how to" vids. I gotta re do mine, they have a stone chip in them.
