My '04 is testing my patience a bit. Opened the door to retrieve some papers, closed it. Noticed a little later the rear view mirror courtesy lights have not gone out. Everything is turned off, doors, trunk closed solid.......scratching my head on this one.
Hooked up the battery tender so the battery doesn't go dead.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

So after going back out in the garage after posting this, the light was out..........?
Opened the door and shut, there's the light. Sat there and timed, it took exactly 20 minutes to go out.
Something is not right, should have gone out in about 20 seconds or so.
Whelp.....I guess just another typical XLR gremlin.:(

Did you accidently press the light switch on the dash? - Very commonly reported problem and easy to do without realizing it.

Or. . . the RAP circuit is controlled by the BCM via a countdown timer relay. Either could have issues. It should time out within ten minutes.

An easier thing to check is the switch in the door, (that signals RAP to begin counting down when the ignition is turned off) to ensure the contacts are clean and it's not operating intermittently.
