Anyone having trouble with the computer being slow?
sometimes the navigation voice stutters when trying to give directions...
The ipod integration is really slow some times. it takes several minutes to start playing a song after starting the engine, or when you press the next button on the steering wheel it takes a long time before changing to the next song. it will also display the first song it played on the screen, when playing the second song.

Seems like the CUE system needs more processing power or more memory or something...

Hi Clifford X,

Slow processing like this can definitely be frustrating while you’re trying to enjoy the ride in your Escalade. Have you brought this concern up with your dealership? If you are interested in doing so, I would be happy to reach out to them on your behalf. Feel free to send a PM my way if you would like to discuss this concern further.

Enjoy your day,

Austin J.

i have exactly the same issues with an stuttering voice and slows ipod conection and function . I also have an issue where the system will play a split second of the next song off the ipod and then pause and start up the full song. almost as if its buffering. The service center did do an software up date for the nav issue but its still stutters sometimes.

Mine does this as well. Is there some sort of fix? No reason to bring it up to dealership if not.

I just got mine back from the dealership on an unrelated issue (my rear lift gate struts failed) but I mentioned to them that my iPod doesn't work properly. It sometimes stutters and other times cannot even recognize the iPod. I've had occasions where a song will just stop in the middle and the CUE loses all contact with the iPod until re-boot. They said they did a firmware upgrade but also told me my iPod classic is faulty, even though I've used this same iPod in 2 other vehicles and it's worked just fine. I even uploaded the latest firmware for the iPod a while back when I first started experiencing these issues. I'll try a new iPod and report back soon.

I doubt it being your iPod

I say this as I have a iPod video and I couldn't even get the system to even see it(the iPod video is pretty much the same as the classic model but different audio chip)

This is a well known issue and GM knows about it. There is even a bulletin out for the iPod issues. The 2016 press release for all models shows that the CUE system has improved speed. These issues are really starting to upset me with my 15 CTS V-sport. I hope GM offers an update for our earlier models or I will be severely disappointed.

Hmm I may mention it to the service manager as I know when I test drove a 2015 Yukon my iPod wouldn't even show up in the infotainment system(phone yes iPods no)
That way he knows about it(he's a really cool guy) who knows if enough people complain about they may actually do something about it

This is one reason I am holding out on getting a newer truck as I want as many of the bugs and issues worked out before I get one

Hi Fishyducky,

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused in your CTS. Our internal resources are aware and are currently working to evaluate this issue. If you are experiencing the display of incorrect song information, a remedy will be to hit the 'next' button while the device is playing and it should properly display the song information for the rest of the drive cycle. I hope this helps, but I will go ahead and document your concern. Please feel free to private message me if you have any additional questions.

Best Regards,
Vivian K.

I appreciate the concern. My dealer is aware of the issues I have been having and provided me with the bulletin message from GM regarding pressing the "next" button. If you have documented our concerns then I am happy with that and will be hopeful that GM comes out with an update for our CUE systems that fixes this specific issue and addresses the general laggyness of the system as well.

Hi Fishyducky,

I'm glad to hear that you've been working with your dealer about the CUE system issue and apologize again for any inconvenience this has caused you. Your feedback and patience is greatly appreciated as our internal resources work towards a resolution for this concern.

Have a great day,
Vivian K.

My 2015 Escalade experiences many problems with CUE when my iPod, iPad or iPhone is connected to it. CUE is great in concept but poor in execution. In my opinion, Cadillac needs to start over. It would make more sense in my opinion for Cadillac to license software from Apple to build CUE. Other than the poor execution of CUE, I am very pleased with the 2015 Escalade.

I don't think apple had a hand in the cue software

If they did it would work a lot better then it does with Apple devices

I tried two iPods in the 2015 Yukon I test drove and nether showed in the system despite both iPods saying they was connected
My iPhone 6 plus worked gear both ways

I have a Sony Xperia Z3, a Samsung Galaxy S6, and even my Lenovo T450S with Windows 8.1 all work beautifully with Bluetooth.

I am a Microsoft beta tester and have tested windows 8

The system gm uses is Linux based not Microsoft based

The Bluetooth wasn't what I and others have found to have issues it was with the USB playback of iPods
