Hows it going everyone.... Im new here and that is b/c I am about to order my new Vagon. I own a Vett, and have driven an Infiniti FX 50S the past 4 years.... I love fast cars, and my FX is just that. But like all good things in life it has run it course and I am ready for something new and exciting. I love the wagon b/c of its hatch. I have driven SUVS forever now and have just got used to the versatility of the 5th door.

The wagon is a no brainer for me now.... I means its my Vett, and any SUV paced into one bad ass car... and you get a stick n clutch !!!! Thats just stupidly cool..... My friends and wife are calling me crazy to buy this thing.. but all that does it make me want it more :) Im not old by any means (only 35) and for someone like me to want a wagon really says alot about the car and how far GM has come..... A couple years ago I would not be caught dead in a Caddy.... Now....well you all get the point....

I have one beef with this car.... ALL THE CHROME !! I hate it. I have seen a few pics of V's that have blacked all the chrome out. window trim, decals, grills, etc. Vossen has a SICK Grey coupe on their site that is exactly what i want, but in wagon trim.

Im torn on colour combo as well.... I am leaning towards thunder grey, w/ black wheels and red brakes.... but the black diamond is also very cool to look at...... and then of course BLACKED OUT !
So if you own a V.... and you have blacked out all that bling.... POST EM UP !!!!! Id love to see em....

Anyway, this site is great and I look forward to getting to know w few of you.....

As Xaqtly says....

"One of us....."

Here, you will not be considered nuts for buying a 6MT V wagon. There are a bunch of us here, including myself. Welcome. Sorry, I haven't blacked out my car yet, it has just the right amount of chroming to it, not to much and not too little.

Here's what I've done to mine - it's somewhere in between stock and blacked out. I've pretty much just covered over some, but not all, of the chrome with black plastidip. Sorry to everybody who's already seen these pics a few times, lol. And mine is White Diamond, so too much black would make it look wonky I think. The look I've been going for is just to black over some of the chrome while trying to maintain a stock appearance - trying to make it look like the black parts came that way from the factory. I prefer a subtle approach I guess.

I refused to tint the front windshield or headlights and have not done anything with the tail pipes. Everything else not already black, was painted, tinted or removed. I know removing the V badges is controversial but the ones on the doors kept snagging my towels and I like the cleaner lines without the badges. I know some will disagree.

It's not us who are nuts. It's everybody else who are unable to appreciate one of the coolest vehicles to ever hit the street.

Grill not black but body color, Thunder Grey.

That is the one.... NICE Combo....

Here are a few quick iphone pictures of my wagon. I had the roof rack, grilles, vents removed and painted. My window trim is wrapped.

That would be great...... Also can you PM me the price of the Noir Package.... Does it black out all chrome ? If you have a pic of a Thunder Grey wagon, with matching grey wheels (aftermarket) and blacked out.... then you and I are going to be making a deal :)

----------

Looks Great... I love the black "V" logos

----------

Thats a mean look... I know not all like it...... But I sure do..

----------

I know chrome is a caddy staple..... I get it. I really do. But its just not for me.

That is why there is chocolate and vanilla....

But at least i know, I am not the only nut bar around who loves this car. Its such a stupid car..... 556Hp six speed wagon.... I laugh just saying it....

I also went with an X5 M or the new GTS Prosche Cayenne...... but i just kept going back to the caddy..... Everyone has a X5 or a Cayenne...... But I have yet to see a V wagon on the road where I live... "Toronto" So Im daring to be different.... and cool... and fast...... and fill in the blank...... lol

My V wagon is the only one I've ever seen in the wild. I've never seen one at a dealership. I've only seen it at the Detroit Auto Show.

I bought my Vagon specifically for the Sleeper Factor. I wanted to be able to dust exotics, and leave them wondering how the hell they just got beat by A Station Wagon??? I quickly discovered that the gear heads out there know exactly what it is, and don't mess with it. It's hard to take to Home Depot sometimes. There will be someone eyeballing it when I walk out of the store, and I'm obliged to give them the 15 minute tour before I can get out of the lot. Kinda funny when they start quoting HP, quarter mile, and top speed figures to me, "This car beat a Ferrari on Top Gear"...

Good luck in your search, and post up pics when you get it blacked out!

this has been my experience. Anybody with a decent car on the road (C63, M3, vette, etc etc) plays nice around the V, in my experience.

Yep, I've experienced the same. I did have an E60 M5 try me on the freeway once, he knew what a V was or he wouldn't have bothered making the effort to rev at me and get my attention. (He lost, btw). Most of the time, anybody driving a car in our league is either blissfully ignorant, or unwilling to take a chance on it. I also love the sleeper effect with the V wagon. Might as well call it the Spanish Inquisition, because nobody expects it.

Its so black and 'wet' black it almost looks fake/too good to be true.
Thanks man. That is right after multiple hours wet sanding and 3 stages of machine polish followed by several costs of sealant (Rejex) and topped off with a finishing detail spray (Z8). Keeping it looking that good is tough but once a year I do a full detail (minus the wet sanding) .

I added black lug nuts after those pictures were taken to complete the look :)
