Hello Everyone,

I have a 2008 Escalade ESV with air shocks in the back that I want to replace. I can see they have an electronic connection and an air connection. I am having trouble figuring out on sites like rock auto what I need to order. Can anyone help me with what I need to get?

I also would like some help with the front ones.

If anyone has any experience with the different options I would really appreciate the input.

Thanks!

Keyser

I did search on it and didn't find anything. What search terms do you suggest?

Three choices and you need to make one of them to move forward ...

  • Keep OEM GM / AC Delco Magneride struts.
  • Remove OEM and go old skool hydraulic.
  • Add aftermarket Arnott w/ lifetime guarantee.

After 07 All Escalade are optioned as z95 Magneride equipped. During 07, correct me if I’m mistaken, the options were z55 Autoride or hydraulic struts.

Which option above suits your budget and ownership goals?

so I think I have air shocks. I am not clear if I also have magneride struts. What is the best way to tell? Here is a picture of the back one. It has an air compressor.

Once you’ve figured out which one of the three below options below suit you, enter your info at RockAuto.com and choose your replacements based on an 08 Escalade w/ z95 suspension.

  • Keep OEM GM / AC Delco Magneride struts.
  • Remove OEM and go old skool hydraulic.
  • Add aftermarket Arnott w/ lifetime guarantee.

As Eric stated research on those two words in Google. You can’t make an informed decision on replacement struts if you don’t know anything about them.

Great, if the RPO says Z55, your ready to go shopping for one of the three categories once you know whether you want to shop ...

off a budget based on keeping the suspension

original
aftermarket
aftermarket hydraulic or
aftermarket lifetime guarantee
