Do the 2000 Escalades have shock/shock or strut/shock or strut/strut setup? What is a good shock for these trucks? Recomendations. Ease of installing them yourself?

The rears are leaf and the front are torsion bars. The stock shocks are pretty good IMO. Again a search on the topic will turn up a lot of info. I think a lot depends on the wheels and tires that you are using. If you're stock, the stock components are a good set-up. If you have gone for bigger wheels and shorter aspect tires there may be better set-ups available.

They are shock/shock and it takes about 10-15 minutes per shock to change them. I used a jack and stands. I used Monroe Sensa-Track(sp) and so far am happy with them.
