OK, read online to remove shift knob, put it in reverse and pull like a SOB. Well, I did and the whole shifter arm came off with the knob still attached to it.

Made knob removal pretty easy, put the knob between my feet and pulled on the bar.

Put in one of your UUC Shifters. Was gonna look around last night to see if I could do it myself and the dang arm came off.

Oh well got up early and did the install. Went smooth except for putting the bolt back through the shifter to attach to the linkage. I had to put in backwards cause I could not get it back in the same direction. Fixin to take it for a spin and check it out.

So you were taking it apart to start your UUC install?
Good thing you had a spare!
I think you'll like the new one.

Given your apparent strength, I suggest you make regular use of a torque wrench for reassembly processes.
