anyone know where I can see a selection of shift knobs that fit the V? While i wait for a part to fix my B&M I can also change the knob. The B&M has no threads so not sure if i am limited. whos got a respectable one?

Luke at Lindsay Cadillac sells a knob made by UUC. It's kind of pricey but looks very factory, is really heavy, and has our shift pattern machined into it. I hope its OK to post this pic Luke!

the UUC looks nice. I assume the factory boot fits? the shaft looks smooth, does any of it show with the factory boot? the black around it, is that leather? and it has the shift pattern... nice. I may have to call Luke.

Does anyone have a picture of this knob in the car? It seems it would look out of place to me. Has anyone tried to run a c6 shift knob? I had one in my C5 and absolutely loved it. It is held on with a tiny screw so you would need to drill and tap your shifter to make it fit. I may just try it soon.

$170 for a knob? Ouch. Get the Holden setup. It's a heavier knob, deadens shifter noise, and most importantly it has the stitched boot to match our cars. I think it's $89 now.

i have the uuc knob and i love it... granted it was a present from my lady because i wouldnt have spent that much! feels great! cold ass hell in winter though!

i will get a pic of it in car today with my new SWAIDE shift boot!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^^ anxiously waiting for pics!!!! :) :) :) the UUC will be the shift knob i eventually pic up! - it is pricey, but looks worth it.
I'll take some pics with the knob on the car today and post them up when I get back from work. It fits perfectly with the factory boot and does not leave any gaps or any evidence that you have an aftermarket shifter or knob. The surround is leather that matches the factory boot exactly.

yeah, please post pics of this in the car. where does the factory boot come up to. I also feel it loos out of place unless the boot comes all the way up to the base of the buld and covers the shaft. What holds the boot up? I have no problem paying for quality.

I'm gonna go get some pics for you right now. The boot is held up by the actual shifter before it gets narrow for the knob. It looks completely factory, people who don't know what it is think the car came this way. Be right back with pics.

do you have a short throw? or is it the factory shaft? I am in mid B&M install and the shaft is narrow. Does the boot attach to the knob like the factory setup or simply rest on the widening taper of the shaft? Not sure how the UUC will work with the B&M.

UUC short throw. It does not attach to the know it just rests on the wider part of the shaft. The UUC will bolt up the the B&M fine if the stock knob works..I do not know about the shfit boot though.

I agree with CTSV-510...
I just ordered my holden knob and boot from Chris in Austrailia like the "how to install" link above stated. He is great and fast in responses. I sent $ through paypal and he responded saying it shipped.

On a related story I called the local pontiac dealer to inquire about the knob and boot from a late model GTO (which is what this is also). Holy crap. The knob was $340 and the boot was $160... oh but you get to choose the color of stiching to match the exterior paint of the goat. Not at that price, are you high. I got the same thing from Aussie for about $90...HAH ! Can't wait to put on the stubbier knob with the in process B&M. I may have a spare brand new B&M available for sale. Anyone else know those were discontinued from B&M. Thats what they said when I called today needing a bushing I damaged.

Yeah the B&Ms were discontinued a long while ago but atlanticspeed.com has had a big enough stock of them for the past couple years to meet the demand...

installed the B&M with the replaced bushings from B&M after i pressed the wrong sleeve. WOW the throws are short !! Can't wait till i get the Holden Monaro knob and boot from Aussie. B&M was cool considering their kit 45067 for the V is discontinued. I have a spare complete short kit available for an interested person. throw me a price
