Just turned 900 miles on my CTS and when the car was delivered there was a smudge across the glass for the DIC. It will not come off. It needs to be replaced. I'm wondering will they give me any problems under warranty. I didn't create the smudge. Also I won't be taking it to the dealer I purchased from which is about 40 miles away do you think my local dealer will treat me fairly on warranty work? Forgive me guys but I'm use to Chevy service on my 04 Vette which is horrible. This is my first Caddy purchase.

Unfortunately, my first experience was not so good. I bought my car out of state so I took it to a local dealer for service. When I went to pick it up, it looked like they had taken the greasiest guy in the garage and locked him in my car with bees! There was grease everywhere...floor, door panels, seats..even on my kid's car seat! They did detail it, but once you get grease on the textured parts of the interior, it never really gets clean. I wish you better luck than I had. This is my first Caddy too. I didn't find Caddy sevice at my dealership anywhere near where I expected it to be.

I wish you better luck!!

I'm not sure if it would be covered under warranty, but you may want to call ahead and see if either one would before driving out there.

To me it would be worth it to drive 40 to get better service.
I'm struggling with service as well; there are only 2 Caddy dealers in my area. I went to one, based on the recommendation from a friend and wasn't to thrilled they decided to take my car for a 6-mile joy ride while it was in for its first oil change. Maybe I'm being too picky but I can't see the test drive as standard practice for an oil change. (I'm trying not to picture a team of mechanics having my car sideways while getting on the highway during lunch)

From my personal Experience with Cadillac all I can say is good things. I bought my car from Texas and I have taken it to 3 different Caddy dealers and they treat the car like if I bought it there.

I bought my CTS from the dealer closest to where I live, and found their service to be awful. I took it to another caddy dealer about 15 miles away, and they treated me MUCH better then the dealer I bought the thing from.

These problems should be addressed ASAP. The longer you let it go the more they will think its something you done. I think you stand a better chance of getting satisfaction by going back to the selling dealer. They have a stake in making you happy, another dealer does not. I would complain to my salesman if I thouhgt that would help.

I once got a car that had what appeared at first to be a bug on the top RH corner of WS. I noticed it on the way home from picking up the car. Never cleaned it for days and they went I did, found out it was really a rock chip (was in the tint band). A week later I tried to get the dealer to fix it but it was insinsuted that if it came like that they would have noticed it. They beleived it did not come that way. But it did. Drove that car for 3 yrs with that chip in the ws. So go back ASAP..
