I was curious about getting service manuals that repair people would use to work on my Cadillac SRX 2008? Does anyone know of a reliable source to get them and how much I can expect to pay for them? I want the whole thing where I have confidence it came from GM to make sure I get the right thing. I did check ebay and there are a few listings but I'm not sure how much those can be trusted. I also found some online but those are kinda broken up and some of the diagrams are not readable.

Thanks.

Mechanically, the SRX 1 and 1.5 are the same.
The dashboard and electricity changes.
Possibility to find pdf version for 2004-2005.
Or more information gère : Cadillac Workshop Manuals

The online GM/Cadillac/Helm service manuals are available in a multi-year subscription to www.alldatadiy.com. Use the "Cadillac Truck" listings. It's the real GM service manuals plus all TSBs, DTCs with diagnostic trees, wiring, schematics, torques, the whole enchilada.

Helm, Inc. no longer publishes either the paper or DVD original GM manuals.

You might find something with an eBay search, but I don't know what formats were published by Helm, Inc. - the original printer/supplier of "shop" manuals for the manufacturers. Some years/models were supported with paper manuals, some with DVD, some with both. NOT cheap.

A 2012 SRX service manual paper set is $300.00 US.

There are a number of options available, as noted above, HELMINC is the official distributor.

Many of the "Manuals" on Ebay are PDF versions "printed" serially from AllData - they are fairly complete but difficult to search and index through.

One of my favorites for GM years up to 2009 (including your 2008 SRX) is the esi Techline DVD that GM SPO used to produce - these are still out there on the web (see
). They are the exact GM Service Troubleshooting Guides, Schematics, Repair Instructions, etc. You need a computer and minimal familiarity with Virtual Machine Software (VmWare Player, etc).

Another option is a 3-day subscription at AC Delco TDS - Scroll down to Service Manuals 1996-Present (ACDelco TDS).

Hope this helps!
