I found the above bulletin, but I'm not sure what it means by "Follow the SI for further diagnosis"...

Something interesting that I have noticed, I tested each sensor individually and they all register, front and back. The issue seems to be only with the seat vibration... mainly just the front... If I reverse and get close to something the seat still vibrates and everything functions normally, but it throws the alarm.

It seems highly likely that it could be just a wire that runs to the front sensors for seat vibration, but I can't seem to find a disassembly diagram on how to get the driver seat apart...

Has anyone had any experience with this? The dealership quoted me at $600+ to replace the motor in the seat, but since it vibrates on reverse I imagine that may not be the fix unless its an all-in-one unit with the full wiring assembly that may fix everything indirectly.

I had this message before. Does it flash up and disappear quickly? Does it happen only on startup? These were my symptoms. They replaced my battery that was dying (48k mi), but of course that didn't fix it. Then they said it could be something electrical out of the ordinary.

I had aftermarket plug n play hids so I put in the factory bulbs and message never came back.

I had something very similar. I believe the alerts still worked if i changed them to audible alerts but that would get annoying. The dealer found the following:
Open Circuit
6421500 Front Seat Lane Departure Warning, Actuator replacement 14WGMGA 22826951 Actuator

and
31477 Drivers Seat Haptic motor left side, wire separated 6421500

I kept adjusting my seat when I first got my car and i'm wondering if wire got snapped on something. The sensors on the lane departure will still working just no shake in the tush.

Good luck

I have the same issue with my 2014 ELR. It vibrates or dings in reverse but not going forward. I found a cut wire on the left side of the drivers seat probably cut by back and forth movement of the seat I’m 6’5”. Took it to local dealership charged me 69.00 to tell me I needed to get the motor for vibrator in seat replaced 650.00 yea right !!! I pulled up the carpet around drivers seat and found where the other part of the wire was spliced it back together with about six inches same type wire placed it back under carpet out of the way of the seat track and now my but vibrates like it should. It seems the standard answer for the dealer is to replace the seat motor to make 600 bucks when splicing the wire is all that’s needed.
