Took the plunge and went to Amazon and got the sequential turn signals for our ATS. When not blinking they have a LED strip that is lit up as a DRL. The install seemed daunting but the hardest part is telling yourself your side mirror will not shatter when taking it off. I only took a couple of pictures but will post all of them. First start by pushing the mirror edge in closest to your car so you can get about 3-4 fingers behind the glass and start pulling. It will make weird noises and feel like it will break but it is the only way. I was 2/2 taking them both off in one piece. Next get yourself a T10 bit and take off 4 screws around the mirror cover (the part that is the color of your car). Then take the electrical connector off the mirror blinker, simple clip just press and pull. The puddle like has a small clip that you can push out with your fingers and leave hang. At this point the entire mirror should be apart except you may think what the hell is holding it together. I found there is one last T10 under the mirror next to the car on the mirror arm. Now it should all come apart.
min the image above I was taking off the two screws that hold in the side mirror blinker and for whatever reason the driver side was left hand thread so I broke my only T10 wrench if they do not come off easy try the other direction.
in this picture I am using the connection provided to plug in the Red/Black wire to our cars purple and black. The brown and black can be taped off unless for some reason you want it to blink all together and not sequential. Either way do not attach both red/black and brown/black as it will ruin the circuit inside.
you can see me testing the sequential in the picture above to make sure I was doing it right. The blue wire I’ll get to in a little bit is for the DRL white LED strip. The DRL blue wire needs to be run down into the mirror and fished out the other side. For this step you will to pop off the interior door panel and remove the mirror from the car. If this sounds like to much then you can settle for just sequential and no DRL. I say it is worth it and continue on. There is a video on YouTube on how to take off the door panel so I will not go into detail. Essentially it’s 3 8mm bolts and clips. Pull hard on the clips. Now you will have 3 10mm nuts to remove and a wire connection for the mirror and it should come right out. I should mention if you do not care about the DRL white LED you do not need to take off the door or mirror. Now the fun part I used some wire I had around the shop and fished it through the mirror but to do so you need to take off one final T10 that holds the electrical connection from the car to the mirror and then it will move just enough to wiggle it though. I had to put wire through first then tie to a string then finally pull the blue wire for DRL though.
You should be able to reassemble your mirror and have a blue wire hanging out the side. After you bolt everything back up the inside of the door panel there is a connection for the light that is in our door handles.
They provide a plug and play with the same connections to give power to the DRL blue wire. You will only need to solder or crimp one blue wire to the other as they are two separate pieces.
This is a zoomed out view of the area where the blue wire is connected. I added some sticky foam in red on my door panel before I put it back in for the clip holes because I do not trust them not to rattle after taking them apart. Now you can go over to the passenger side and try it again.

These do ship from China because the ATS-L (Chinese version) was produced over there and they have this on their aftermarket.
I thought $160 was steep but after having them put in it was well worth it. All blacked out and looks like it should. Message me for pics of them on the car I just have it out in the shed for the winter.
