I'm having some issues with the self leveling suspension of my 01 Deville. The diagnosis is showing code #C0660 - Exhaust Pump something.

I noticed the maxifuse for the system was blown. I checked under the car for obvious electrical problems - frayed wiring, disconnected grounds, etc. but could not find anything. I replaced the fuse only to have it blow again the second I started the car.

Is there any common things to look out for when fixing these systems?

I have never heard of that type of problem - usually the air-ride systems have problems on the pneumatic side like leaking air lines or such. If you can get to it I would disconnect the compressor electical connector and see if the fuse still blows. At that point I would start to suspect the compressor has gone south and begin searching jukyards.

C0660 - Level Control Exhaust Valve Circuit Malfunction
I think the exhaust valve is serviceable separately.

I'll have to check the Helm manual when it comes in.

The SLS system is not all that important to me, but it sure helps when I have 6 people in the car, and am going down some nasty class B farm roads.
