This is not covered by the new vehicle warranty. Some, myself included, have purchased wheel and tire insurance that does cover this. Your best bet is to have it fixed before you get stuck.

My last service at Cadillac the service tech found a screw in the thread of one the tires when he was rotating them. He repaired it at no charge and returned the screw to me! Now that's customer service.

I was not so lucky. The screw found in my rear tire was too near the side of the tire and was not repairable. Had to spend $300 to replace the tire.

Screw is still in it pressure is steady at 33psi. Val Ward Cad service does not open on the weekend I am stuck until I can get off work

That is a simple repair that can be performed at nearly any auto shop. There's really not a need to wait for the dealer. Go to a reputable tire or repair shop.
