Most likely you have to replace the sensor. I replaced one on my '94 Concours, and it was over $150 for the part alone! The suspension part though, shouldn't set a SES light. Have you checked for any engine or transmission related codes? The accelerometer should display a "Service Ride Control" message on the DIC, not set the SES light.

Just so you know, the accelerometers are located in the engine compartment attached to the back of each strut tower (a little black box with a wire going into it). On my friends eldo, the thing somehow detached itself from the strut tower which caused the message to come up.

Sound like this might be a pricey problem it really came lose from the tower,!! that must have been one hell of a pothole!! I will look into that and the price of the sensor and report back!!
