has anyone here smelled rubber as you're driving? Usually when I'm backing up or if i turn too hard or if i accelerate too fast i smell this ! and this is not when i testing the car. it happens randomly as i'm driving !

The serpentine belt would be my first guess... the burning smell may be coming into the car thru the fresh air intake (cabin air filter) which is located just behind the serpentine belt area. I had the same problem on my 02... it was a small power steering leak dripping down on the serpentine belt giving me an occasional wiff of a burning smell.

You tell us about all those racing stories then you have and odd rubber smell??!! Honda's didn't have anything to do with this did they?? Anyways yea I would say check the serpentine belt though

Wow thanks for the info guys ! Is this why i can hear a squeaking noise from my engine while its running ?! And I have front end issues with my car is that can help with anything.

And hondas are no problem :p i kill em with great ease ! It's been happening like this for a while but I just remembered today.

Find the squeak, and if it's a pulley or tensioner, fix it NOW (yesterday) or you're going to be in the very big $$$ repair business.
