So here is the summary:
Basically my 3.2l 2003 Cadillac CTS (116k miles) has a bit of a problem. Firstly, it seems idles around 500-600rpm and causes the body to shake. Cleaned out the throttle body, new air and fuel filter, but the problem persists. Not sure why it idles that low, but is that the normal idle range?
Secondly, when coming to a stop, it almost always hard shifts into 1st gear. Like a hard jerk. This normally happens when the engine is cold, but happens less when it warms up. The rest of the gears shift perfectly, but that hard shift into first is a problem :hmm: To circumvent this, I activate snow mode, so it doesn't shift into first but thats not a fix.
What should I do? I was considering a transmission flush but I have been reading that this may even cause more problems. Any thoughts on this? Thanks :wavehi:
