Does anyone know the largest size rim and tire I can put on my 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood RWD?? I really wanna do it up Lowrod style, but sway away from big gaudy chrome wheels. I would like to put a 22 on the rear and a 20 on the front, definatly reverse rims, preferably a billet Boyd wheel. Im having a tuned port built for it now so it should be pretty hot. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you can get 22's on your car please let me know how you did it. I want to put 22's on my car but I can't see any other way of doing it. (See thread "Can I fit 22's on this deville") The widest I would go is 8.5 though. The skirt in the back probably won't let you go 9 inches wide. The 20's upfront would give you about 1/2 an inch of clearance in the front and back. Those specs are for this size tire: 255/35ZR20. You'll likely get about an 1/8 inch rub on full turns. I don't know if would try to wrap those rims in tires thinner than 35. I've seen a 750iL and 300C with 22's with 25 series tires and it looked like the rim was hittin the ground.

13 inch wire wheels will not fit on 93-96 broughams due to the size of the drums and rotors

I'd like to know how the heck that caprice rides. Looks like it would be a lot more trouble than it's worth. Rims 23" and bigger on a cadillac would cause a noticeable drop in horsepower just because of the weight. I'd be afraid of rolling over on too sharp a turn.

Im thinking of just going 20's, not a flashy chrome "flat" rim,,like a billet rim, painted center, streetrod looking. As far as the 14's go. That is all this car rolled for the past 6 years. Was a street hopper, nothing to crazy. Also had chromed suspension. But I framed it off, with intentions of doing a full custom show car, candy and all. BUT, i really dont have time to invest (or the money) to do the show car thing. I still stay in touch with the lowriding game somewhat. I am a freelance writer for a few import, lowrider, and truck mags. Anyways, I wanna build a Coupe in the next year of so. Something clean for the street. Lates..

I had 22x9.5 irons on my 96 fleetwood brougham. Fit perfect. Only had to shave shirt about half inch. The plastic piece that the shirt lock handle sits in.
