Rim question

I traded in my RX8 today and got a black 02' Escalade. I love it!

Anyways, when I had my STS I had 20" TIS wheels on it. Granted they are made for fwd vehicles, I was told they could work on this.

Is it true they make adapters and I would be able to mount these 20" rims on my Escalade, coupled with meatier tires? Thanks!
