I haven't personally viewed the Rift metallic yet. How is it different from Summit white? Does it have a gray tint?
Rift metallic looks pretty "meh" on Cadillac's webpage IMO, like a dirty white with no depth. In person, it's a very light dove grey with quite a bit of metallic in it. Based on the poor website pics, I didn't even consider rift metallic as a color choice, but when I got to the dealer and saw it in person it looks great on the car-- especially with the optional bronze wheels.

My dealer has a summit white car parked right next to a rift metallic car, and summit white is much, much brighter and more plain looking than the rift metallic. Summit white is a bit plain IMO, it's nowhere near the depth of the crystal white tricoat used on the ATS-Vs, which has a good amount of metallic and depth to it.

Here is a pic I took last weekend with my buddies ZL-1 in the background. I think his car is pretty close to summit white, so you can see the contrast,

I considered Rift, but I was not able to see a car in person, so I ordered Summit White. Later I did see a Rift at my dealer. It was OK to me. The metallic seems to let it show the shape better than Summit White, where the line blend in.

Any green tint in the photo must be coming from the trees. Rift is more of a off white or bit of beige. I think the name Rift indicates we can not agree on what color it is.

I had a Crystal White ATS, which is the color I would prefer over Summit or Rift.

I saw the new Argent Silver on a 2023 XT5 at my dealer. It is a shade or two lighter than Satin Steel.

I agree on rift. I don’t think Caddy knows what it is so they called it rift.

I loved my 17 Vsport in Crystal White metallic. It was a pretty color. My did now owns that car and I always look back at it he’s around. Here’s how I spec’d it. Just like the one in the C&D article. It was/is truly a great car.

My Vsport is the White Diamond Tricoat I think similar to rift. It's well over 200,000 miles now I just can't get rid of it. I'm slowly turning it into a dedicated track car since my black wing is still a bit too precious for me to trust it coming home safe from a track event.

My dad had a 2003 STS in the WDT (last year of the fwd gen). He loved it. I think he prefers it to the CWM. He also had a 1991 Olds Tornado Trofeo in that same pretty white. Not sure if it was also called WDT, but it was close.

Just curious... what percent tint is that? Looks like maybe 40 or 50%? Going to have mine tinted in a week or so.

Nice pics, now I know what my car will look like after I get it cleaned up. My car is a close twin of yours, except mine has tan interior instead of the gray. Yours is much cleaner though. I just picked mine up yesterday, and unfortunately the night before it got tagged by the sprinklers at the dealer and now I have a bunch of water spots to clean off the nose... ugh. Clay bar removed about 85% of them, but I'm going to have to polish off the rest.

My car also has what is probably a defective midrange speaker in the driver's door (it buzzes badly at certain frequencies, not sure if it's a bad speaker, loose connector, or the speaker isn't mounted right and is contacting the metal grille in the door panel) but that's another issue, LOL

Those damn sprinklers. Most of them use recycled water which causes stubborn water spots. It's always the nicest cars that get sprayed.
No recycled water in my area for irrigation, but the spots that got left on it are stubborn bastards. I am not looking forward to trying to get them out of the black trim around the brake duct and intercooler vents, lots of little edges and crevices to try and work the clay and polishing compound around. I'm going to try round 2 of clay bar tonight before resorting to the Flex polisher and a light compound. I need to use the polisher in a couple spots anyways anyways, as there's a little scuff on the clear near the front of the hood and another on the top of the driver's mirror cap.

The pics the OP posted are just a good motivation to spend time detailing my car... unfortunately it's supposed to be about 95-100F all week and this weekend, and that's not pleasant weather for washing, polishing, and waxing unless the shop is air conditioned.
