My car is clean, and for the most part doesn't really show it's age anywhere. But the crappy reverse lamps have been sunfaded and yellow since I bought the car.

I looked for aftermarket ones, or NOS, and never had any luck. All of the ones I've seen at boneyards were all as badly faded and yellowed as mine.

Then I saw a listing on eBay last week, these were takeoffs from new cars that were converted to hearses. Mine showed up today, and other than some dust from sitting around for a couple of decades, they are immaculate! And for $129 shipped, they're a friggin bargain!

I'm not associated with this seller in any way, I just wanted to pass along the great find!

Now to get some clear silicone and a pair of P796 halogen bulbs!!!

for future info, you can sand your old faded/yellow whatever, lights down, polish them and clear them and they will look brand new

I've had success doing that with colored lenses, but never got the results I wanted on clear ones. Besides, new is new!

When my grandfather owned the car he replaced the right reverse lens but not the left one... I've been trying to figure out how to take the lens assembly out but can't seem to figure it out.... I know a shop manual would have the answer but i don't own one.... Any help would be appreciated!

get under the car, behind the rear bumper there are 3 either 7mm or 8mm cant remember exactly but remove 3 bolts, unplug light and it comes out
