I am trying to find out what the sensor/switch that is located on the front of the block, behind the water pump is actually called and it's function. This particular sensor/switch has a 3 wire pigtail coming out of it and the wires are cut and barely hanging on by a thread which is the reason I wanted to replace it. I have searched everywhere and cannot find a replacement that has the 3 wires on it. Does anyone know where I can find the right one for my car?

If this is a switch that faces forward and is attached to the driver side of the block behind the water pump, it's vacuum hoses not wires. It controls delayed timing and EGR function.

The car has 2 ported vacuum switches and this is not one of them. It is located right next to the vacuum switch that is by the water outlet and it has 3 wires coming out of it (Not Vacuum Hose).
