A friend tipped me off that half of my center brake light was out. I took the rear bezel apart and couldn't find any bulbs plugged into that center brake light. There were two small wires that were running into it through a small, rubber plug. I see no place to install bulbs.....it's all sealed.

I have an '03, but did have the original smoked rear bezel replaced with a new, body colored one.

What am I missing???

It's not an LED. It's actually a gas filled tube that excites when a current is passed through it. You will have to replace the whole thing but it should be covered under warranty. Mine just went out and the dealer replaced it for free.

Thanks. This may sound silly, but if I can get an ebay one for less than $50, I'll probably just do that. It'd be less hassle than making a service appointment, them telling me they have to order it, then making another service appointment.
