I have a hole in the top of radiator on 2000 Catera- patch worked for short period of time but it is leaking again. I am thinking of replacing entire radiator myself. Replaced one in my 89 eldo with no problem but since the Catera is alot tighter on space I'm not sure it will be as easy. Has anyone put in a new radiator on a 2000 catera and do you have any tips or advice on changing it?
thanks

I have put one in my 97. It wasn't all that difficult. Just took some time to disconnect and reconnect everything. I'd say, remove the intake to make it easier. Use new copper washers to connect transmission lines. Oh yeah, and drain the thing before you do anything :)

I just replaced one in my 2001 Catera. It's not a bad job, but it's tight, take your time. I brought my rad in and had it fixed, the guy replaced the drivers side tank, cleaned it and pressure tested it.
Watch out for the electrical connectors that attach to the cooling fan temp sensors in the radiator when you disconnect them, they tend to get real brittle with age.
