Hey,
I think i lost my lock nut key!!
I was wondering whether these keys can simply be replaced or would they have to get one specifically for my car.... are the pattern on the key the same for all cts' or are they all different.

and also, how much do you think that it'll cost to get another one?

These locking keys have a number associated with them. This number corresponds to a specific pattern. Who made your locks, do you have any paperwork. If the dealer supplied them look in the glovebox for the number "code". McGard makes many of the locks and lug sets, they make some pretty neat upgrades as well like splined or colored lug nuts for the CTS.

You might be better off buying a completely new set--with same code if poss. Use two sets of locking lug nuts. That way, crooks will need to take twice as long to remove wheels. I have considered that.

I am also aware that crooks will sometimes break window of vehicle and look for coded key.

I have not yet decided what to do.
