2019 XT5 Prem Luxury 235/55-20 Tires. The Michelins were wearing and chunking out before 40,000 miles. I just replaced them with Firestone Destination LE3's. Amazing !! $60 Rebate so only cost $740 out the door. They are very quiet and responsive. Turning the steering wheel feels very light. No noise going onto concrete. The Michelins were terrible.

I replaced the OEM Michelins on my 2017 XT5 with Goodyear Assurance Comfort Drive for $835 and then got a $100 rebate. Have already driven 5000 miles and they are quiet and smooth riding. I made a trip to New Hampshire in February where the roads are mostly snow covered and many parking lots had several inches of snow. These tires perform great in snow, rain and dry pavement. I highly recommend them. Come with 11/32 of tread new. Michelins were 2/3 gone after only 30,000 miles.

I just replaced my tires on my XTS with Pirelli P7 AS Plus 3 Grand Touring All-Season a new tire from them, wow what a nice smooth riding tire and really quiet! $950.00 out the door at my Cadillac dealer. I replaced my Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate's.The Goodyears were great handling but a little stiff and noise.
Sorry all, I got confused with this thread and couldn't delete it. I thought I was still on the XTS thread not the XT5. But that said I am thinking of replacing my Michelines on the XT5 with the Pirellis when the time comes.

Was this on your 2020 XT5? Did it come with Goodyear Eagle's?
Edit: Sorry, I looked closer and see you stated it is your XTS.

UPDATE.......
I was getting about 23-24 MPG HWY with the crappy Michelins, from when I first got the car with 20,000 miles. Checked my mileage with the onboard computer yesterday. Driving at 75MPH I got 29.2 MPG HWY with the new Firestones.
TWENTY NINE MPG
I was Amazed !!!

I find this thread interesting. I have a '19 Escalade ESV and an '18 prior. Absolutely hate the factory Bridgestones and have always replaced them with Michelin LTX Premiers and love them.

My wife's '18 XT5 with factory Michelins are almost gone at 31k. She'll make it through the summer, but I'm tagging this thread to get ideas for what to do in the fall.

I just got the new Pirelli P7 +3s (as mentioned here earlier) on my XTS, it' the smoothest and quietest tire I've ever had. I'm really thinking of replacing the XT5s Michelins for them.
Another tire I'm a huge fan of is GoodYear Assurance WeatherReadys, if you ever have to drive in snow unbelievable how good they are . And just for a all around tire they are great. I had 3 sets now on 2 cars and my truck. So for me it's Pirelli or the Goodyears. I'm not a fan of Firestone or Bridgestone. My 2 cents

Keep in mind that mostly worn tires replaced with new of any brand will feel better, at least for awhile due to the thicker tread absorbing noise and road shock.
Hi Joroan, little update, so last week I replaced my XT5 stock Michelin's with Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3's. The Michelins had 30k on them about 1/2 life. Wow, what a difference. Pirellis are so much quieter than Michelins. They are smoother also. (Even from when Michelins were new.)
I drove 1,100 miles RT SF bay area to Vegas, highways, mountains, pouring rain, light snow. The Pirelli's are really nice.

As posted elsewhere, I replaced the Michelins with Continentals a few months ago, they're very nice! Sounds like just about anything other than the Michelins is an improvement. Discount Tire wanted to sell me the same Michelins, wonder if anybody went that direction?

I replace the Michelins on our 2017 when they were at 32,000 miles. Living in the north east I wanted good all season tires. Looked at Tire Rack and even Consumer Reports and bought Michelin Cross Climate 2 all season. Ride great, quiet and one of the best snow ratings.

We did, but I think went one level up? OEM is Michelin Premier or something like that and we went to Defender LTX. Pretty similar tread pattern, as well as similar noise and handling. 70,000 mile tread wear warranty on them.

On my CT6, I went from the stock Goodyear F1 Asymmetric to Michelin PS4Ss and noticed a reduction in rolling noise (although they seem noisier over bumps), and a huge improvement in traction.

I also replaced the OEM Michelin Premiers with Michelin Defender LTX tires. The Defenders are far superior to the Premiers, and also superior to the Firestone, Goodyear, Continental and other lesser brand tires that have come as OEM tires on cars I have owned in the past. Also, the XT5 OEM Michelin tire in 2018 was the Premier, not the Defender LTX. Defender LTX is available in 235/65-18, but I think not for 20" diameter wheels.

2022 XT5. Stock Michelin Premiers toast at 18,000. Could have gone maybe another 2,000. Played it safe. Replaced with Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Wasn't looking for Michelin but tire shop gave me a deal on used ones. New 12/32 tread depth. These used ones were take offs and had 10/32. Less than half the price of new ones. New out the door, $1150. The take offs were $550 out the door. With free rotations. He also had a set of four with only 75 miles on them. But were wrong size.
